Christmas Cheer

We are so thankful for all the people who helped us make a better Christmas for some of the people we work with. God is truly faithful. We were able to help the guards who work at our end of the street with some food for Christmas.  These are men who work 24 hours on and 24 hours off.  They are only making minimum wage.  They are always ready to help.  We usually try to give them at least one meal a day but for Christmas we wanted to be able to help their families also.  God provided.
We were able to give toys and apples to 160 children in two churches.  These children are faithful to be in church and Sunday School each Sunday.  We give thanks for being hands extended to show the love of God to these people and children.
As a family, we were able to enjoy our son, Garlon and his two sons.  We don't get to see them very often and it is always a blessing to be able to visit with them.  Our big Christmas dinner was actually on Sunday evening.  We had Mario, Garlon and his two sons, a family that have been friends with us for a number of years and of course, Jhon, I , and Audrey-Dawne.  Hurrah for internet, we could spend time with our Daughter and her youngest daughter.  What a blessing.
I also got to speak to my step-mother and she knew who she was talking to.  That is a blessing also.  God is faithful.

Visitors in November

November was a busy month.  The first of the Month we had Lynda Vernon, her daughter Holly Miller, and grandson, Adam Erickson.  We were blessed to have Holly minister to the women in La Libertad and San Manual along with the prison.  The end of the month we had Lynda's oldest daughter, Dawne and her husband, Paul with us.  They were blessings to us by just being here and letting us share their lives.

Thanks so much for letting us stay with you this past week, before we head out to Tocoa. We really had a good time of rest and refreshing, greatly needed for Paul since he wasn’t feeling well.   I really enjoyed the day we spent travelling to Siquatepeque and our visit with Keith and Vicki and all the kids. Of course I enjoyed going with Val to minister to the children, prayer time with Normita and all the other things we did together. AND last but not least, I can’t forget Audrey Dawne…fixing her hair, making her stretch for her Karate classes, going for walks with her and watching in amazement at how easily she interprets for you. She sounds exactly like a Honduran.  It was also nice to just walk right into Val’s kitchen and cook or fix whatever I wanted to.  Thanks so much for making us feel at home.  Your work in Honduras is touching lives for eternity.  God bless you.  Love, Dawne and Paul Erickson
