A whole month and more. WOW!

September, 2012
Wow, summer is almost over.  It is hard to imagine that it won’t be long and winter will be here or at least in the United States.  We will be having rain and cool weather. Audrey-Dawne and I have been back in Honduras now for a little over a month.  She is back in school.  She is going to a new school where she is the oldest student or almost oldest.  There are only 4 students in the 8th grade.
Santos Oliva

Santos, the young man living in the back apartment , had an injury to his leg causing him to limp and causing pain.  We were able to get him a pair of shoes and have the shoe for the leg that was short built up.  He has been praising the Lord because he has been able to be without pain for the first time in a long time.  What a blessing to be able to help just one person know the love of God.  Santos is a Christian and is serving the Lord at the church near his mother on the week-ends and helping us during the week.

Guards ’day at the Beach

The church in the prison, we work with, again blessedthe guards taking them out for a day at the beach.  This was done in 2 days since not all the guards can go at one time.  It is a blessing for the guards as they get some free time and the church gets to show the love of Christ for the guards.  The church provides all the food and transportation for them.  We help with some of the food for someone to cook or we make sandwiches for them.

Our Adopted Family
Gershon, the 12 year old boy, whose brothers and sister that are disabled, was in the hospital for hemorrhagic dengue and bleeding in his kidneys. To be honest, we didn’t have the finances to help them the way we needed to.  Gershon needed several tests and his mother needed to hire someone to stay with the other children as well as have bus fare and lunch money while she was at the hospital.  This is the poor hospital.  They only provide food for the child and no water.  They needed money for water for him to drink to help with the kidneys.  God provided a way with help from the International Christian Fellowship.  Praise the Lord when Christians stand to help each other.  Valerie was the first to see him and prayed for him. This was on Saturday and we couldn’t do any tests until Monday.  By Tuesday, He was released.  God is still a miracle God.

Thanks to all who faithfully support us with prayers and finances.  God bless each of you.
We at Family Missions International give God the glory for what He has accomplished.
