Ladies' meeting

In January, Valerie started teaching a ladies' meeting in La Libertad.  We had two churches coming together.  One of the churches asked if she could come to their church. They had more women who wanted to come to the teachings. Some of these women couldn't walk the distance to the other church.  In February, we had the two meetings.  One church said they had 12 women coming.  When we finished the praise, we had 22 women.  This presented a problem since Valerie had brought snacks for 15 women.  We had enough soda but had to cut the other snack in half and each lady only got one valentine cookie.

Blessing the officers

On Thursday, February 9th, the prison church took half the officers to the beach.  The five elders of the church,who are prisoners, were allowed to go and bring their families.  This was a great day for all.  The church and Family Missions provided the food for all. It is such a blessing to the officers to realize they are not forgotten.  They were planning on taking the other half when the prison fire happened causing all prisons to shut down and not allow any outings.  The faces on the guards as they enjoyed this day with the different foods, and soda.
